Revelation 13:13-14 “He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.”
The Books That Would Not Burn We have all heard stories of Bibles and books that wouldn't burn. Here is an incredible experience of the whole “super set” that would not burn.
Although the house fire had blackened Carolyn's living room, the Bible Stories, Bible Reference Library and Bible I saw sitting on the table were untouched by the fire.
In the lounge room where the books had been, the wallpaper was hanging in shreds, and the furniture was blackened and charred. Up until the time I called, Carolyn was unable to face going back into her burnt out home. She shared how at the time of the fire the bookcase had disintegrated into ashes, while the books I was looking at on the kitchen table were carried from its smouldering remains still in perfect condition. As I looked at what was on the table, I exclaimed, “This is unbelievable!” To our amazement the plastic wrappings on the books had not melted in the fire, and this had also saved them from water damage by the fireman's hose.
Eight months later, I met Carolyn again and shared with her from Volume 5 of the Bible Stories how God miraculously preserved Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego. We agreed that He had preserved the books and Bible in another fiery furnace. Her mind was opened as I shared with her the prophecies of Daniel 2 from one of the books that wouldn't burn.
We pray that now Carolyn and her family's minds have been opened by this modern miracle, they will continue to be guided by the angel who protected their books into truths they contain. - Andrew Johnson, Eastern Area
